Why Choose Private Maternity Care?

During pregnancy it is advised you access a form of antenatal care, but what option you choose is entirely up to you.  Pregnancy is an exciting stage in any parent’s life and at The Midwife Company, we want it to be as stress free and enjoyable as possible.  Pregnancy is a time when you need to ensure you have regular checkups to ensure your baby is developing well and you remain healthy.  We pride ourselves in providing high quality personalised care to ensure you are given up to date information about every stage of your pregnancy, your choices for birth and the early days with a new baby.  Here at The Midwife Company we can complement your existing Antenatal Care within the NHS or make arrangements to complete all your required Antenatal Appointments, with a full midwifery package tailored to suit you.  You can expect dedicated continuity of care from a senior midwife with over 20 years of NHS experience to care for you and your baby and ensure all your worries and anxieties are eased.  We also have access to a Private Fetal Medicine Consultant and Private Antenatal Scanning facilities at a state of the art facility in the North West should you require any additional support during your pregnancy.  Additional blood tests and screening not provided by the NHS can also be arranged at your request.

Choosing Private Maternity care may feel like a daunting experience but at The Midwife Company you can be assured of our commitment to ensure continuity of care with a named midwife to act as your advocate and support your individual wishes and needs.  We recommend that any woman considering private care whether with ourselves or another provider, carries out their own checks to ensure the midwife is registered with health care regulators in the UK (the NMC) and has necessary indemnity insurance.  Our midwives have longstanding and continued NHS experience and good quality indemnity insurance to cover private care and are fully registered with the NMC – evidence can be provided on request and we can show you how to check this for yourselves.  In some circumstances it may not be appropriate for The Midwife Company to provide your Antenatal or Postnatal Care.  If you have any specific preferences you wish to discuss please get in touch and we can advise you of the best plan of care.
